REGISTRATION FOR SHOPS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MENOMONEE FALLS JUNE SHOP HOP IS CLOSED.
What: A week-long celebration of businesses that feature make & take activities.
When: Tuesday, June 18th – Saturday, June 22nd, 11-5 pm
Where: Participating Menomonee Falls Downtown businesses
To participate, and be included in the promotional activities for this event, please let us know you are going to participate by Wednesday the 15th of May. Send us your make and take activity no later than Saturday the 1st of June. Send your info to info@makeandtake.com
What qualifies as a make and take?
Something that is made in your establishment by participants. It can be in the form of a workshop, a class, or just guided making!
Is this a DIY event?
No – it’s important to describe your event / participation as Make & Take. DIY has the connotations of doing something by yourself at home. Make & Take is a guided experience done in your store. It’s important to adopt the phrase Make & Take in email, social media, and any signage, so it’s clear your store is participating in the event and it’s clear it’s not a “take it home to make it” activity.
Suggested ideas for participating businesses
Retail
- Items made from scratch at your business
- Craft projects for kids
- Build an outfit for a set price
- Make a piece of jewelry
- Painting, stained glass, pottery projects
- Guest teachers, “meet the maker” gatherings
Eateries
- Build your own beer flight
- Build your own burger
- Decorate your own cookie or cake, etc
- Make your own pizza, etc.
We encourage you to have fun during the event – consider offering any of the following in addition to your activities:
- Discount on a make and take activity
- Buy one, get one free offerings
- Free snacks
- New product demos
- Goodie bags, samples, drawings or giveaways
- Social media photo opportunities
- Gift certificate specials
About Us
The owners of MakeAndTake.com are Menomonee Falls residents and are creating a national Make and Take Shop Hop™ – starting right here in Menomonee Falls Downtown! The downtown has a large number of businesses that already offer wonderful make and take experiences. By working together, we can help put our town on the map as a make and take capital of Wisconsin and a creative tourist destination.

Participating businesses will be added as co-hosts on the Facebook event. We encourage you to market your offering and business in the “Discussion” area of the event.
We will provide images for you to use on social media. Please use the #makeandtakeshophop tag on your posts too. Please also tag our facebook page at @makeandtakedotcom
Event Logos
If you are registered for this event, you can use the logo as long as it’s in its complete form – please do not cut or modify it. The logos are Trademarked and MUST be complete and untouched. You also have permission to use the intact logo on promotional products such as t-shirts or bags.
